Our Mustard Made storage lockers are perfect for adding a pop of colour to your home. Available in a spectrum of fun hues – from mustard yellow to blush pink – they fit in perfectly with a colourful home or can be a great way to start introducing colour to an otherwise neutral palette. There are five styles to choose from, each suited to different uses – for example, the new Twinny lockers are ideal for using as wardrobes while the Lowdowns are perfect for a small sideboard. If you’re wondering how the lockers would fit into your own home, here are five ways you could use them.
Are you lacking a pantry or need extra cupboard space in your kitchen? The Lowdown and Midi lockers are perfect for placing against an empty wall to store food, tableware or pots & pans. Both styles have movable shelves that you can change to your preferred height – whether you want to store cereal boxes or tins. A simple clean white kitchen is instantly elevated with the addition of a colourful storage locker, and you can tie it in by introducing accessories in the same colour elsewhere in the room.
Fancy having your very own home bar? The Midi lockers are the perfect size for stashing bottles, cans and glassware inside. Move one shelf to can height and you’ll be left with two shelves to fit wine or spirit bottles. You can even use the key to lock your kids out of the cabinet, making it a secure place to store alcohol. Place in your living room, dining room or den for easy access to your favourite drinks.
Our Lowdown lockers are the perfect size for storing records! We love seeing people use these lockers as sideboards and what better use for a sideboard than to neatly store your records inside? If you lower the top shelf, there’s plenty of space to stack your collection, with room on the bottom shelf to store odds and ends such as leads and cables. Also, a standard-size record player fits perfectly on top!
Our new Twinny lockers are perfect for using as wardrobes – either for adults or for kids! Inside there are two adjustable rails and four adjustable shelves, allowing you to create your own unique wardrobe configuration. You could go for a classic look with two rails across the top and the shelves lower down if you own a lot of dresses – or if your clothes are shorter, you can add more shelves with less space to hang. There are neutral white and slate grey colour options, or you can go bold and introduce a vibrant hue to your bedroom with colours such as blush pink, olive green and sage.
The options we’ve talked through so far have all involved introducing one locker to a particular room in your home for a specific use – but you could furnish an entire room with the lockers! This works particularly well in a kid’s room, where you can clash different colours for a fun look, using the Skinny lockers as wardrobes, the Shorties as bedside tables and the Midis for storing toys or books. You could also increase your storage in an open-plan kitchen-diner by introducing several lockers of different colours and sizes.
