I’m loving the new colours from Farrow & Ball for 2013. With four neutrals, three brights and two darks, all the shades are, as expected, beautiful and timeless.
It’s a really gorgeous palette inspired by Dorset and the Coastline; I particularly love both the striking and strong St Gile’s Blue No. 280 and Stiffkey Blue, which is more muted and in fact is the colour that we are currently using to decorate my son’s bedroom. Slightly more blue than Downpipe, it is inspired by the colour of the mud at Stiffkey beach in Norfolk and it is going on fabulously. We are painting just the 2 walls in this colour with the rest in white and a grey wooden floor. It’s going to look great when finished and I look forward to posting some pics of it on the blog
It’s nice how the colours always have a bit of a ‘back story’ and are always given memorable or quirky names. Well done Farrow & Ball, for another great collection of colours for the home.
