Textile Trends for Quick Home Updates

A quick and easy way to update your home without spending much money is to invest in textiles. Not only can textiles give your home a new lease of life, but they can instantly move your interiors from winter to summer, as well as introducing new, inexpensive trends. Here are our top tips for using throws, blankets, cushions, wall hangings and rugs to update your interiors.

Drape a tufted throw on your bed

Our new tufted throws are the perfect inexpensive home update. Rather than purchasing pricey new bedsheets or a quilt to give your bedroom a refresh, simply drape one of these stylish textured throws over the foot of your bed for a stylish look that works perfectly for spring. We have several colours available, so take your pick from the hue that best complements your bedroom. The throws could also be draped over a favourite chair to add interest and a cosy aesthetic.

Update your cushions

An easy way to move your home from winter to summer is to swap over the cushion covers in your living room. Banish heavy velvet or wool fabrics in favourite of lighter materials for a more summery look. Textured cushions are very on-trend at the moment – whether you make a statement with one of our pom-pom cushions or opt for a cotton cushion with a textured pattern.

Use textiles outdoors

Textiles don’t just transform the inside of your home – they’re also great for sprucing up your garden. Add interest to tired garden furniture with colourful outdoor cushions and throws that also add comfort. We have a selection of textiles specifically designed for outdoor use – many of which are sustainably made from post-consumer plastic bottles. An outdoor rug is also an essential addition to your garden this summer, allowing you to kick off your shoes and relax.

Add a fun wall hanging

Wall hangings are a great idea for adding texture and interest to your walls throughout your home. We particularly love them for adding a soft edge to a children’s room. Our tufted animal head wall hangings add a fun element to a playground or kid’s bedroom with their soft touch and cute shapes.

Refresh your rugs

Old rugs can look tired if you don’t give them a regular clean and air outside. If you want to instantly lift a room, try adding a fresh new rug that instantly gives the space a new look. If you want to lighten up a dark room for summer, try a cream rug with a subtle geometric print. The pale colour on the floor will give a new lease of life to your space.
