Q&A with our Home Stylist, Daisy

Q&A with our Home Stylist, Daisy

We’re excited to announce a series of changes to our Altrincham showroom, where you can find our sofas, furniture and accessories out on display. Not only are we now open on Saturdays, but our Home Stylist, Daisy, is offering free in-store and virtual appointments to help you bring the vision of your homes to life. We have a brand-new area in the corner of the showroom dedicated to appointments, surrounded by inspirational accessories and with all our sofa fabrics on display. Clients and customers can choose to use the space on their own to peruse our collections or can settle down with Daisy for a consultation. We caught up with Daisy to find out more about the new services we are offering and to discover her top tips for making quick and easy changes to your home.

What services do you offer in the showroom?

We offer both in-store and virtual home styling appointments, covering furniture, lighting and accessories. In these appointments we can discuss room layout and floor plans, advise on furniture and accessory pairings, and help with the specification of made-to-order items. Feel free to bring along samples, images of your space and a floor plan for us to go over together. All home styling appointments are a free service with no extra charge or obligation to make a purchase.

How do I find the showroom?

We’re located a short distance from the heart of Altrincham, in Broadheath. If you know the area, we’re situated between Atlantic Timber and Asda, and if you’re travelling to visit us, we’re just a short drive from junction 7 on the M56 or junction 7 of the M60. We have plenty of space for car parking and are not too far away from Altrincham market and Dunham Massey if you’re planning to make a day of it.

What is on display in the showroom?

You can find most of the models from our Snuggle and Urban sofa collections on display in our showroom, but please call up before visiting if you’re hoping to see a particular model, just to check that we currently have it on display. Some models we may have an armchair or love seat on display rather than the sofa itself, but you can still get a feel for what the sofa is like in terms of comfiness and style. We also have our Mid-Century collection on display, alongside many of our new and best-selling furniture lines such as side tables, cabinets and our best-selling lockers.

How can you help personalise my home?

I work with clients on their colour schemes and interior styles to help bring personality into their spaces. I can advise on how to bring your home to life with colour, composition, and accessories. Each home is unique to its owner, so I can help you work out how to make your space feel comfortable, cosy and personal.

What quick and easy style updates can be made to transform a room?

Lighting is a crucial part of a space that is often underestimated or forgotten about. The right lighting can transform a room, especially by adding floor lamps and table lamps to illuminate dark corners. Bright overhead lighting usually feels harsh and makes a room feel cold, so something as simple as adding a textured shade can instantly make a space feel cosier.

How can colour be used to update a home?

Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour, and to play around with different ways to add colour into a room. You don’t have to paint the walls – try adding a bold statement sofa, a colourful storage locker or just a hint of colour through accessorising with vases, blankets and other accessories. I can talk you through which colours work well together, how to balance colour around a room and how to make decisions on choosing colours by paying attention to the way light travels around a room during the day.

How do virtual appointments work?

Simply book your appointment using our online booking system, and we will give you a call via Zoom. We would advise ordering fabric samples ahead of your appointment, so you have everything you need in front of you. We love to see the whole space you’re working with, so a good way to begin an appointment is with a room tour.

What other changes have been made to the Rose & Grey showroom?

We’ve given the showroom a lick of paint, adding bold and bright colours to the walls to demonstrate how our sofas complement both colourful and neutral homes. We’re also now open on Saturdays – our showroom team can help you make decisions on made-to-order sofas and offer advice for your purchases.
