We’re constantly feeling inspired by all the amazing images we stumble across on Instagram, so we’ve decided to share some of our favourite finds here on the blog. Once a month we are going to share four feeds that are currently inspiring us. We’ll be focusing on interiors, of course, but we will also be sharing hotels, bakers, florists and other creative and interesting people whose photographs catch our eye. Get ready to be inspired!
Kate is one of our favourite women in interiors. She runs a successful blog and social accounts, she writes about interiors for national publications and she runs an interior styling consultancy. She’s also a published author with her second interiors book due out this spring! On top of all the aforementioned, Kate’s Instagram is filled with inspirational images of her own home, constantly providing a source of inspiration. We’re completely besotted with her sense of style with everything from the dark walls in her living room to her recent loft conversion filling us with ideas for our own homes. We challenge you to browse Kate’s feed and not feel inspired!
Editor-at-Large of ELLE Decoration U.K. and authority on style, Michelle Ogundehin has one of the most inspiring Instagram feeds around. We’re completely infatuated with how she organises her feed by colour, sweeping through a spectrum of inspiration as she highlights current trends. If you scroll back through her feed, you’ll find yourself transfixed with the rainbow that she creates, focusing on a different colour each week. Michelle regrams and shares images that catch her eye, fitting in everything from beautiful rooms to abstract paintings and details of nature into her colourful grid. As one of the most influential people in the design world, it’s definitely worth keeping your eye on her feed.
Artist Residence is, without a doubt, our favourite U.K. hotel chain! There are currently four eclectic boutique hotels based in London, Brighton, Cornwall and Oxfordshire, with a Bristol branch opening very soon. Their fun and inspiring Instagram feed perfectly reflects the aesthetic of the hotels, sharing glimpses inside the rooms, often from the perspectives of the influential bloggers that frequently spend the night. Even if you’re not planning a stay, their feed is great to follow for inspiration for how to bring a more eclectic look into your own home. We love how each room and communal space manages to feel warm and cosy at the same time as appearing effortlessly stylish.
Nicola Land is more than a florist; she is a floral stylist who creates some of the most beautiful botanical creations we have ever laid eyes on! Her Instagram serves as a constant reminder of all the exciting and creative things that you can do with flowers. Alongside developing floral displays for weddings, events and editorials, Nicola also runs a series of workshops both online and in studios around the world. Her bouquets are always wild and oversized, demonstrating that there is more to floral design that simple posies. We especially love the sneak peeks into the workshops she runs and the glimpses of the more unusual displays that she creates.
