Stylish Spaces | Five Hip London Hotels

August 15, 2017

Does anyone else keep a wishlist of hotels that they’d like to one day have the pleasure of staying in? Or is that just us? To kick off our new series of blog posts sharing our favourite stylish spaces around the world, we thought we’d share the five London-based hotels that we’d love to spend the night in. We feel inspired just scrolling through their Instagram feeds – just imagine having the chance to roam their corridors!

Perfectly located just around the road from one of our favourite foodie destinations, Covent Garden, the Henrietta is a brand new boutique hotel taking over two historical townhouses. Hinting towards Italian design, the rooms feature bold bursts of colour (we particularly love the blue bedrooms and pink bathrooms) with plenty of on-trend marble and brass accessories. Beautiful velvet chairs, ornate printed wallpaper and decorative tiled floors help to create an extremely Instagrammable space.

Hey there, Friday ??

The most recent London offering from the iconic Soho House group, The Ned has already established itself as one of the most stylish spaces in the city, despite only opening earlier this year. Housed within an old Midland Bank building, the hotel’s design pays tribute to its history by channeling interior design from the twenties and thirties in its suites, restaurants and bars – including a swish rooftop space and a member’s-only bar in the old vaults.

We love the home-from-home vibe in this lovingly eclectic hotel’s London branch, especially as it provides plenty of inspiration for styling our own homes. Each of Artist Residence’s ten bedrooms are individually designed, containing an interesting array of furniture and accessories with a distinct industrial aesthetic evident throughout. The same attention to detail has been lovingly thought out in their restaurant and basement bar, providing cosy communal spaces for guests to hang out.

One of the hippest hotels in the capital, The Hoxton’s Shoreditch branch offers super stylish rooms that all come with an acute attention to detail, including breakfast bags delivered to your door in the morning. The rooms are all super simple with luscious headboards, striking dark walls and stylish finishing touches such as crystal pendant lights and vibrant retro phones. Check out their neighbourhood guide to discover the hippest hang-outs and up-to-date events listings for the area.

We admit that we first fell in love with the Town Hall Hotel when we saw a photo of their utterly beautiful restaurant with its array of industrial hanging pendant lights. Housed within a stunning Art Deco building, the architecture expertly fuses interesting modern twists with original features to create a statement design-led space. All the rooms feature beautifully crafted furniture, while the suites also focus on contemporary glass partition walls. The flagship De Montfort suite is designed to impress with triple height ceilings and a grand communal space.

We’ll be putting together a similar post for Manchester soon but Hotel Gotham, the Abel Heywood and Innside are all stylish + comfortable.
